They are flooding the market with a whole range of bikes.įrom Izip vibe -> Protour, from Raleigh -> Haibikes. Makes over 3000 watts and does 45mph, with proper ramping programmed in, it's as gentle as a kitten. I don't want to sound like a snob but I do think there is a place for bikes like protour. I would not hesitate to buy a Dash despite having battery issues. I'm not a big fan of mid-drives (not just pro tour, any mid-drive) partly because they are not suitable for high-speed commuting.Įven if they do reach 28mph, their efficiency isn't any better than a good hub drive. Unfortunately, right after doing a 600 battery rebuild the motor has now apparently gone south. Anyway, I did ride the ProTour and it's a nice bike. I have a 2016 Izip E3 Dash and it's been pretty solid. These nitro's, when freshly charged, can easily do 32mph on flats. Thread starter Ralph Start date 1 2 3 Go to page.
